The Guardian conquers America (24 jun 13)
Edward Snowden didn't go to the Washington Post or the New York Times. They probably would have turned him in. He went to the Guardian.
The Guardian has been trying to influence America for years. It's online edition modestly calls itself "The World's Leading Liberal Voice", not just the UK's. It made a botch of the 2004 election, when it tried to persuade Americans to vote for the Democrats. Some Republicans made a big splash over a foreign paper trying to influence the US election, and John Kerry lost.
That is now forgotten. The Guardian has conquered America.
